Blue Moon Cruisers
Our club president,
John Kaufman suffered a massive heart attack on May 3rd.
He is currently in the ICU at Harrisburg Hospital after undergoing
triple bypass surgery. Prognosis is good.
Blue Moon Cruiser member, Anita Gross, was recently hospitalized and
upon returning home she was pleasantly surprised to find a lovely vase
of fresh cut spring flowers sent by the club members. She sends her
sincere appreciation and a "thank you" to all for the kind gesture.

Did you know:
Pennsylvania state-issued license plates were first issued in 1906.
The 1906 through 1909 license plates actually indicated that the driver,
not the vehicle, was licensed.
Pennsylvania has consistently issued
single passenger plates since 1952.
The dated 1958 passenger plate was
Pennsylvania's first multi-year base plate, other than the 1942
plate whose life was extended for one year due to metal shortages
during World War II.
During the years 1960 to 1964, Pennsylvania issued
license plates to station wagons and other similar passenger
vehicles (which today we would call SUVs and mini-vans) that were
distinct from normal passenger car plates. The Suburban plate.

The following members enjoyed a Caribbean cruise March 4-11,
2012. They were on the ship, Adventure of the Seas, owned by Royal
Caribbean. While on the ship they found a bar on the 14th floor
called the Blue Moon. (John is probably already negotiating to
get the sign for his garage if the ship ever sinks!)
